Apache Tears are made of obsidian, volcanic glass and are said to help with healing and grief. They absorb negative energy and bring one comfort during emotional times. Strung on an 16" sterling silver chain. If you would like a shorter chain please message me. Each stone size and shape varies. Choose between a small (5mm) stone or a large stone (10mm). You can pick just the stone pendant with a silver bail or a stone pendant on a sterling silver necklace 16". I have silver pendants or for a thicker silver look, the leaf bails. If you have a preference please note it in the personalization box.

The name "Apache tear" comes from a legend of the Apache tribe: about 75 Apaches and the US Cavalry fought on a mountain overlooking what is now Superior, Arizona, in the 1870s. Facing defeat, the outnumbered Apache warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their deaths rather than be killed. The women and survivors cried tears that turned into black stone as they wept.

Please remember to charge or cleanse your stones if wearing a lot. You can do this by smudging it with sadge or placing in the full moon light.

The have gold plated flat glue on bails, solid sterling flat bails or the silver bead cap bails.

Hand made in the USA and comes in a giftbox.
